I’ve always had a soft spot for pugs, there’s something about their big eyes, squishy faces, and wobbly little walks that just melts me. After a lot of research (and more time than I care to admit scrolling through dog breeder websites), I found Valla Puppies Home.

From the very first message, they were lovely. They answered all my questions without making me feel silly, even when I asked things like ‘Do pugs snore as much as people say?’ (Yes, they do but it’s adorable.)

We were matched with our little guy, Frankie, and it was love at first sight. They sent photos and videos every week as he grew, and when we finally got to pick him up, they handed him to us with all his paperwork, vaccination records, and even a toy that smelled like his littermates. That made his first night home so much easier.

Now, two months later, Frankie follows me everywhere. He’s a happy, healthy little shadow who snores on the couch, loves belly rubs, and already knows how to sit (when snacks are involved). Valla Puppies Home really cares about their dogs, and it shows in every part of the process.

After lots of searching and a few let-downs with other breeders, we finally found Valla Puppies Home and from the moment we contacted them, everything just felt right. We had been set on getting a pug for our two girls, and Valla had a litter available that was absolutely perfect.

They were brilliant sending us weekly updates, vet paperwork, and even gave us advice on getting the house ready. The kids picked the name ‘Milo’ for our pup, and when we drove down to Cork to collect him, they were nearly bursting with excitement.

Milo was happy, healthy, and already used to people, noises, and cuddles. You could tell he had been raised in a home, not just a kennel. He’s settled in beautifully here in Mullingar he follows the girls everywhere, loves his walks (in small doses!), and has already learned how to sit.
